5 Tips for Internet Marketers
Are you frustrated because you’re not making the money you thought you would as an Internet marketer? Are you looking back with regret to when you were working a regular job and getting those regular bi-weekly paychecks?
Are you getting ready to surrender?
Internet marketing is a tough business to be in and to be honest, I have even have had episodes when I was ready to call it quits. But surrendering was never an option for me; I had to stick it out.
I’ve spoken to allot of other Internet Marketers over the years that share your same frustration and gave them my advice and a few, like Carol Sprauge who was a student at my first SEO workshop, refused to surrender and stuck it out and built her own multi million dollar online business in under 1 year.
Here are 5 tips that you may find helpful to get back on track to becoming successful as an Internet marketer.
1 – Select your path
You’re about to embark on a journey to an unknown destination; if you’re successful you will grow as a person and subsequently grow your bank account.
The key to success is to be in love with the product or service that you want to market and believe in your heart that it will benefit every person’s life that you share it with.
Choose your path, believe in your product and company and become a product of the product.
2 - Network with Success
Network with other successful Internet Marketers, find a mentor and seek the advise of those who have expertise outside of your own.
You want to seek council, not opinions and to have an understanding of the pitfalls and triumphs of Internet marketing.
Consider joining a Mastermind
3 – Stop Planning, Start Doing
Entrepreneurs take an idea and a market and DO.
Most of the problems that you’re planning for right now will never happen, so at least 95% of your planning and trying to get this “just right” is all energy wasted.
Yes, there will be obstacles in your way that you would have never anticipated, just deal with them as they come along.
The important thing to remember is to “fail-fast”. If something isn’t working, stop doing it and work on the stuff that is working.
4 – Believe in Yourself
If you don’t believe in yourself no one else will.
We look to others to establish who we are, how we should be valued and how we should behave, therefore avoid people with negative attitudes.
5 – Refuse to Surrender
We all have setbacks and roadblocks in life but remember for every defeat, every disappointment and every adversity carries with it the seed of an equivalent better benefit.

Thanks for the great advice. You hit the nail on the head: acting on your plans is key and moving on/changing if something isn’t working!
Had many setbacks this year, keeping me from progressing faster with my new website – seriously ill sister with brain tumors and ill parents in CA-many trips back and forth (from OH); husband unemployed now for over 2 years; and now, due to tornadoes and vicious storms in OH the last two weeks, internet is down and due to backlog, AT&T cannot get around to our area until late next week. When that happened, I truly did feel like saying, hang it! BUT, my belief in what I do is stronger, fortunately, and I am now here at Barnes & Nobles, trying to keep my life and projects going. Many thanks for the encouraging article!
