Google SEO Tips and Tricks

This week we are hosting our two essentials and three day advanced SEO Training Seminars in Las Vegas.

Today David Evans who is one of our instructors, reviewed many Google’s link commands that you can use for search engine optimization to check on the performance of your website(s) and your competitor’s website(s).

To use these commands you would manually type them into Google’s search box, here are examples;

Link: YourWebsite.com – Shows other pages that link to this URL.

Related: YourWebsite.com – Shows other related websites Google has in its index related to this URL

Site: YourWebsite.com – Restricts search to this domain only

Allinurl: Keyword Term – shows only pages with the keyword term in the URL

InURL:  Keyword Term – Like Allinurl but only for the next query word

Allintitle: Keyword Term – Shows only results with the keyword term in title

Allintext: Keyword – searches only within text of pages, but not in the links or page title

Allinlinks: Keyword – searches only within links, not text or title

Cache: YourWebsite.com – Shows the Google cache information for that webpage

Info: YourWebsite.com – Shows links to related searches, backlinks and pages containing the URL (similar to as typing the URL into the search box)

David also showed some other neat tips and tricks that you can use Google for, as an example.

Spell: Keyword – Google will check your spelling

Stocks: Symbol – Google will look up the stock index

Phone numbers – Enter a query string that looks like a phone number and have the name and address displayed
