I Got Naked at Our Meetup!

March 19, 2009 by radarroy

You may have heard on how I exposed myself at Thursday’s nights Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing Meetup before an audience of 45 Internet Marketers.

No, it wasn’t that ugly as you’re perhaps thinking right now, I did remain clothed throughout my presentation.

But I did strip down my website(s) before our group, revealing all my secrets on how I implemented the “Persuasive Metaphor ” to create trust and desire on my old Radarbusters network and on my new SEO Training SW website.

My first exposure to “subliminal suggestion ” was back in 1975 while majoring in television and film production. Subliminal messaging refers to the process of sending messages below the threshold of consciousness directly to the subconscious mind.

You may have heard on how this type of messaging was almost banned by the US government back in 1974 when advertisers used it to flash 100 – millisecond messages into commercials or how Alfred Hitchcock planted his own subliminal messages into his movie Psycho.

Now you may be thinking to yourself, “Oh my God, is that why I wanted to eat popcorn while I watched Radar Roy’s introductory video? ” Well relax; even though I was professionally trained on how to use this secret weapon that every major advertising firm still uses today, I never used hidden imagery in my videos or photos.

That is because I feel that there is a more powerful way to influence your audience by using the “Persuasive Metaphor ”.

Frank Kern is the Jedi Master of using the Persuasive Metaphor coupled with NLP (Neuro-lingusistic programming) in his Internet marketing campaigns. As an example, just last month his “Mass Control” version 2.0 sold out in less than 24 hours!

In Frank’s new program he teaches on how to use the “Persuasive Metaphor ” in storytelling to create trust and desire with your prospects.

So if you get that urge to grab a bag of popcorn or your favorite beverage while watching this next presentation of mine that I’ve broken down for you into two videos, it’s not of my doing.

However you will get that urge to follow through to the next step to becoming a successful Internet marketer by signing up for my free SEO/Internet Marketing tip of the day using the form on the top right of this page and schedule yourself for my next hands on SEO workshop .

See you soon….

The Basics of Creating a Simple Web Page

Note: This page was developed for those who need some additional training in how to create a simple Web page prior to attending a Search Engine Workshop.

In order to position Web pages in the search engines, you need to know how to create a very simple Web page. You’re probably not going to be designing complete Web sites yourself, but you will be designing gateway, or information, pages. Also, you’ll need to know how to make changes to simple Web page, how to use a software program for making those changes, and how to add tags that can help boost your rankings.

Here’s something crucial to keep in mind. The closer to the top of the page that your important keywords are, the more relevant your Web page will be to the engines. The more relevant the page is for that keyword search, the better your rankings will be. Therefore, you need to remember how important it is to bring all keyword-containing text and tags to the top of the page.

Try to complete assignments #1, #2, and #3 below. If you have time, work on some of the other assignments, but make sure you finish those three assignments first.

After completing the tutorials, you can always refer back to them for more information.

Assignment #1:

Obtain a HTML editor. CoffeeCup is a free drag and drop editor that has a built in FTP program. You can down load it here:
http://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/

For those of you considering purchasing a HTML editor, I would recommend Dreamweaver as it is the standard in web development programs.

Begin practicing by clicking on this page:

http://www.searchengineworkshops.com/articles/submissions.html

Click on File, then Save As. Don’t change the name of the file. Remember the directory where the computer saved the file. Write it down NOW!

Open your editor, click on File, then Open. Browse until you find the directory where the above file was saved. Highlight the file, which will be named "workshops.html." Click on Open, and the file will open in your editor.

Play with the file. Add words to it, or take words out. Do whatever you want! When you make a change, click on Preview in Browser, and you’ll be able to see what your changes would look like online.

Assignment #2:

Take the HTML 4 Rookies Tutorial at this URL: http://htmlprimer.com

Complete all 8 lessons.
Then, read over the following information as well:

Javascript; Cut N Paste Tutorial; META Tags; and HTML Validators

Assignment #3:

Find out what FTP program you have. What is FTP? FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, which is a method for downloading and uploading files to and from an Internet site. In other words, an FTP program allows you to transfer files over the Internet. After you work on your Web pages, you’ll need to FTP the pages and graphics to your server. Then, you’ll be able to view the pages on the Web.

If you don’t have an FTP program, go to download.com and download a trial version.
Which ones are good? CuteFTP and WSFTP are both very good.
Try to spend some time playing with your FTP program.

My Secret Weapon; SEO Scout

A quiet technology revolution – one that will radically change the way the Internet works – is likely to catch the world off guard. It involves the “semantic web” – a way of organizing and presenting web content not as documents but items of data that are linked by both meaning and relationship
- Tom Lube, Harvard Business Review, February 2009

I first heard about the semantic web in a presentation by Michael Marshall in 2004 at a Search Engine Academy Workshop. I have to admit when I first heard Michael explain the semantic web, latent semantic indexing and how Google’s algorithm was being tuned in for this new type of search I was totally confused. So let me explain it in a way that I understand this all works and hopefully it will make sense to you also.

Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other major search engines already have an catalog of content indexed on the Internet. This content includes web pages, video, computer files such as Word/Excel documents, PDF’s, flash documents, databases, images and a whole bunch of other stuff.

The only common denominator between all this content are words/phrases that can further be broken down into tags, keywords or words/phrases on a webpage/website.

Search engines scan this content, builds a relationship and then indexing it into their search engines. Therefore when you type in a question, phrase or keyword into the search engine it scans its databases and provides you with a result (SERPS) based upon the content and context.

Ok, so the question I’m sure that you’re asking yourself right now is “How do I know what the proper content/context is for the articles/videos/web pages that I’m publishing so the search engines can find me?”

I often found myself asking this same question until Michael gave me access to a program he developed called Theme Master. This web based program allowed the user to type in their keyword and it would scan the top 100 websites indexed by Google and then create a spread sheet of keywords and keyword phrases in order of importance. The user would then edit an existing piece of content that they already had online or create a new piece of content and upload it to the net.

As a member of the Search Engine Academy and an associate of Michael we kept this program a closely guarded secret the first year. This gave me ample time to revise content that I already had online and to create new content to slaughter my competition.

Six months after using Theme Master eight of my websites were ranked on the first page of Goggle for the keyword phrase “Radar Detectors.”

Word eventually leaked about Mike’s program but I had such a lead no one could touch me and I continued using this program on my Internet properties until I sold the network.

After the sale I continued using Theme Master on several of my client’s properties with the same success. However a short time later Michael sold Theme Master to another outfit and his commitment to the product ended. The new owners were only concerned with one thing, making money and their loyalty to our Internet marketing community sucked! It was so bad that users started jumping ship and the new owners were forced to flip the switch and turn it off.

After this several smart SEO professionals figured out how to do Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) by hand and they taught this skill to others in seminars that often cost over $2000.00. The process was laborious and took hours, but the results were equivalent to Theme Master.

At the same time other Internet Marketers were beating on Mike’s door, calling him, emailing him, and pleading with him to come up with an alternative program. However Michael’s hands were tied, there was a no compete clause in the sales contract for Theme Master.

Well good news Guys and Gals the no compete clause has ended and Michael has just released his new LSI program, SEO Scout .

As an insider to Michael and the Academy I had my first look at SEO Scout several weeks ago and I was blown away! This program did everything that Theme Master did but 100 times faster and better!

I’ve been biting my tongue for the last three weeks wanting to tell everyone in our community the power of this program and now I can. Sit down, relax and watch this seven minute video, I’m sure that your going to be blown away not only about the program, but that you can also get and use it for FREE!!

My Biggest StomperNet Take Away Ever!

March 9, 2009 by radarroy

It’s hard to describe what StomperNet in only a few words to those not familiar with our community of hard core Internet Marketing entrepreneurs, but I will try my best.

Imagine having at its core the brightest teachers and leaders in their respective niches spanning the entire landscape of online and offline marketing such as blogging, SEO, PPC, video, podcasting, web design, print advertising and coding. Then imagine these same experts assemble their BEST material providing it to members in a vast video library while also offering one on one coaching.

I’ve been a Stomper since it’s inception in 2005 when my good friend and then mentor; Jerry West introduced me to the StomperNet program.

One benefits of being a Stomper is attending their conferences which are normally held every six months in Atlanta and I flew out last Thursday to attend my seventh StomperNet conference.

Friday morning Andy Jenkins, the CEO of StomperNet took the stage welcoming the 350 plus members and guests in attendance and gave a brief rundown of the presentations his staff had lined up.

Andy then asked the attendee’s to stand up if this was their first StomperNet conference they’ve attended. Over 1/3rd of the attendee’s stood. Andy then asked them to sit down and then asked for those who had attended two conferences stand up. Another third of the audience stood up. Andy repeated this for the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth group as the number of people standing grew smaller and smaller.

When he finally called my group being the seventh StomperNet conference ever attended I stood among six other Stompers.

While I was standing a newbie sitting behind me remarked “You haven’t figured out how to do this yet, is that why your still here? ”  As I sat I turned and replied, “They helped me take my business to a level where I sold it for a few million and now I’m helping my clients to do the same. If at anytime you figured that you learned everything, I or someone else will come in and take you out. You never stop learning.

A few others who heard our exchange gave me thumbs up.

The first presentation was by Paul Lemberg titled; “Knowing What They Want, How to Design Products and Services Your Market Desperately Wants and Will Automatically Pay For.

For me Paul’s presentation was my biggest take away all the StomperNet presentations I’ve ever attended, I explain why.

Have you ever had a secret desire something that you really wanted to do but didn’t know where to start or perhaps had the fear of failure?

Now I’m not one to normally shy away from anything, as an example my passion for flying started way back in 1985 when I was a cop and assigned to the Air Smuggling Interdiction Squad. I enjoyed flying around the southwest with other pilots. But now imagine having the fear of heights, would you follow through?

This was the question I asked myself in 2007 almost twenty two years later, but took this fear and passion head on and followed through passing my FAA private pilot exam and buying my own plane.

However there is one project that I’ve always wanted to do was write a book and/or develop a DVD training series. One of the leading factors that led me to success with the Radar Buster’s network was my online articles. However I’ve wanted to take this to the next level however I was blocked by not understanding how or where to begin and secondly the what if’s I failed.

Paul first discussed the importance of having a passion for your product. Without question I love teaching others to become successful in the online marketplace and I do have a small niche of followers with our MeetUp group along with our other associates in the StomperNet community.

Paul then discussed framing your product your to fulfill your audiences wants and create what he called the “Zen of Wow.” Paul’s bullet point of this process included:

  • Having a product or service that stops you in your tracks
  • The product/service exceeds your perceived value; you didn’t expect that it would be this good.
  • Going the distance with your client

Examples of a few successful “Zen in Wows” would include; Barack Obama, the Iphone, Tony Robins, Frank Kern.

Paul then discussed focusing on the range of products or services you could create by thinking about;

  • Doing what you love
  • Doing what you care about
  • Doing what you know, what you’re an expert about
  • What fits
  • What does your audience want
  • What ideas do you have
  • What is your mission

Research the Herd

One of the most important steps whether your starting a new business, creating a new webpage or developing a product or service is to survey the marketplace. Using some of Paul’s examples would be asking;

  • What is keeping them up at night
  • What is their most pressing problem
  • What problems are you trying to solve
  • What book or product would you like to see
  • Would you be willing to buy my book or my interactive DVD training guide

Interview the Experts

One thing all experts love to do is talk about the field that they are an expert in, in fact this is why others think they are an expert. Call them on the phone and explain to them you’re creating a new product or service about their subject and ask for their input.

Find the Holes

What is a popular product or service that you could do better? What subject is out there that you feel could be explained better?

Pay attention to Google’s AdSense ads like” “How do I…”

Watch for patterns; use Google trends, use Wordtracker

Get the Stuff!

When I ran the RadarBuster’s network I sold other people’s stuff, not my own.

Whenever the thought about creating my own book or interactive training series entered my mind the process of me actually having to creating it overwhelmed me. Sure I could outsource it, but I knew the quality wouldn’t fulfill my own expectations or my customer’s expectations.

I’ve envisioned my book being around 175 to 250 pages with each chapter being 10 to 20 pages.

I have also envisioned my book and/or interactive DVD training series taking the student through each step of the process explaining it in easy to understand steps that I used to create my network and other successful business while also introducing some of the characters behind the scene such as;

Lori – An expert in NLP (Neuro-Lingustic Programming) who helped me understand the process of creating trust and desire for my products/services.

Bill – Without question one of the best web designers that I had ever had the privilege of knowing and working with.  I was introduced to Bill by his father and my neighbor back in1996 while Bill was the CEO Southwest Interactive Design. To frame Bill as a web designer is truly a disservice as he is really an artist in his own right.

Jerry – The most systematic internet marketer I know. When I was an undercover cop I knew and understood the importance of knowing everything about my target to take them out to arrest them. Jerry helped me develop this same mindset in Internet Marketing. If Jerry targets your niche he will identify the market niche’s vulnerabilities and take it over.

Mark – An expert in social media. Mark is a complete opposite of me; he grew up on the streets of South LA as a gang banger. Mark first contacted me as a customer in 2004 to buy a radar detector and he was intrigued about my story being a cop selling radar detectors. Mark related that he was an expert in social networking and asked me why I didn’t have a Facebook, My Space or more importantly a message Forum and/or blog. Mark introduced me to his world which now I’m comfortable navigating within to identify and influence trends in my marketplace before my competition.

Nichole – One of my current project managers. To be successful in any business you need to have an army of professionals that you can call on to help you through various projects. In today’s marketplace we cannot afford to hire people within our companies and give them full time jobs. Just look what has happened to GM/Ford and other large American institutions going bankrupt paying for insurances, training and salaries. Today we need to learn how to outsource.  Nichole is one of most successful project managers and this weekend we had the opportunity to meet up at Stomper for lunch with her family for an impromptu interview.

So, please after reading this article and watching the video PLEASE share your thoughts?

Would you be interested in buying a step by step guide and DVD training series on how to build a successful online business just like Nichole, Tom the Safety Guru, Jim the Rock Guy and I Radar Roy have done?

  1. If you’re currently operating a website or online business what is keeping you awake at night, what would you like how to do better?
  2. If you’re not running an online business what is standing in your way? Is it money, time, commitment?
  3. What topics would you be interested in learning in a book or interactive DVD training series?
  4. Who do you identify as the experts in the industry that you would like me to interview and/or have commentary on in this training?

The Box to comment is just below this posting.

Are You Throwing “Raving Fans” Under The Bus?

March 5, 2009 by radarroy

It takes years to build brand loyalty but only a few seconds to destroy it, case in point that I have recently gone through.

Back in 2005 when I ran the RadarBusters.com network my monthly Adwords spend was around $40,000.00 a month. Around the fall of that year my monthly spend doubled and I suspected that I was a victim of click fraud.

I called my Google rep and we discussed my account and she asked me to forward my log files to Google’s Click Quality Team (notice that they do not use fraud in their title) for an audit.

A few days later I received a telephone call back and Google’s auditor who related that after reviewing my account and log files they had not noticed any suspicious activity offering a possible explanation as an increase in traffic because of early Christmas shoppers.

Not satisfied I realized that I had to find a solution to this problem and fast. A few months prior I was introduced to the ClickTracks program at a Stomper conference which promoted a feature that would interface with your Adwords account to identify and segment out traffic it felt was fraudulent.  I called their sales rep who took the time explaining their analytical program in detail.

Even though the program’s initial $5,000.00 price tag was more than I expected, I signed up for a year of service.

Within two weeks of my install, I went to the click fraud area of their program, pressed a couple of buttons and it generated a spread sheet of suspect traffic that totaled over $10,000.00!

I forwarded this report to my Google rep and one week later I received a $10,000 credit back to my account. Subsequently my monthly Adwords spend also decreased an additional $12,000.00 from my normal monthly ad spend!

I was hooked and converted into a “raving fan.” Here was a program that not only paid for itself in only two weeks, but also saved me over $20,000 a month!

I promoted this product to other members of our Internet marketing community, gave a presentation about it to fellow Stomper’s and even gave a testimonial at the Las Vegas PubCon!

I was such a fan that I paid an additional $1500.00 for their advanced training to become a “Click Tracks Professional”

After selling my RadarBuster’s network I again stepped up and purchased their multi-level program that allowed me additional licensees and used their program on my clients’ websites.

After running a ClickTrack’s fraud report on one my first client’s sites we identified that over 30% of their ad spend was click fraud. We submitted the ClickTrack’s file to their ad rep and within weeks they were issued a $20,000.00 credit!

Last year ClickTracks was acquired by Lyris and in the beginning did not notice anything different with the level of support or the quality of the program. However around October I had a problem importing a new client’s Adword’s campaign and called support.

The technician that I often worked with was able to resolve my issue in a short period of time; however I noticed a certain tone in his voice that seemed a little ominous. I’m sure you have also had this same feeling when you suspect that something is not right, like they are trying to keep something from you.

I expressed my concern and my tech friend related that Lyris was making some major changes to the ClickTracks program, that they were going to bundle it up some sort of corporate package deal and that the relationship I had built with their team would perhaps change.

Sure enough change did happen and as far as I’m concerned for the worse. ClickTracks became part of a bundled package offering a whole slew of different programs and services that my clients or I didn’t need or want.

And their “Click Track Professional” program was thrown under the bus ending the relationship that the original founders fostered with our professional Internet SEO community.

Puzzled, I called and emailed their corporate executives and asked these simple and direct questions:

  1. Over the past three years I have taught web analytics to students in my search engine training workshops. In this class I demonstrate the benefits afforded by your program over the free Google analytics program. If a student was interested in only your ClickTrack’s program could they purchase it?
  2. As I was certified to teach your ClickTrack program under your ClickTrack professional certification program and now that this program has ended, will you be replacing this with something else?
  3. Your company once offered a partner program that offered financial and advanced training programs, do you still offer this?

Each person I called or emailed couldn’t answer, saying only that they would forward my concerns to the top guy, Stephan Blendstrup.

Last week I wanted to get a final answer to my concerns prior to this weekend’s Stomper conference. So I made my fifth call to the ClickTracks corporate office and I was funneled through to Matt Esparrago an account executive. I explained to Matt my frustration and he related that he would E-Mail my concerns directly to Stephan and he would cc me.

Well it’s been over a week and I’ve even sent Matt and Stephan a reminder message yesterday and have heard nothing back!

And quite frankly unless something drastic happens my four year relationship with ClickTrack’s has come to an end. They took a “raving fan” that used and promoted their products to thousands and threw him under a bus!

Will I promote ClickTrack’s or any of Lyris’s programs this weekend at Stomper, heck no!

Will I teach ClickTrack’s at my next Search Engine Workshop, heck no!

Will I recommend ClickTrack’s to others? Would/Will You??

I’d appreciate your comments on this article in the comment box below;

Are You In the News?

Are you ignoring the power of newspapers, television and radio?

If so you’re not alone many Internet Marketers often overlook the importance of creating news releases to publicize their products and/or services,  blowing it off saying “who cares, my  company/website/life isn’t really that interesting.”

But pick any newspaper, read the blogs, they are full of stories of average Joe’s (the Plumber) doing something interesting that captures the editors interest and adds their story to their paper.

When I owned the RadarBusters network I would set aside a day a month to write about something that I felt would be interesting in my niche, prepare a news article and submit it to the various online news feeds.

One of my first articles was in 2001 and about the influx of photo radar and redlight cameras in the Phoenix area along with review of the various “scam” products that were being sold to the public.

I demonstrated that most of these products were totally ineffective at blocking out your photo. But also demonstrated a few of the products that actually worked and which I sold.

I submitted this article to PRweb and a few days later my article was picked up by several Midwest newspapers. However, I was not prepared for what happened next!

A telephone call from Keith Olberman’s agent asking me if I could be at the studios of KPNX-TV (Chanel 12 Phoenix) the following afternoon to do a live interview with Keith for the MSNBC show, Countdown.

My segment was the #2 news story on July 3rd, where I was interviewed on live TV about Photo Radar. As my picture aired coast to coast on national TV an overlay was below me introducing me to a nationwide audience as “Radar Roy” along with my website www.RadarBusters.com

This very same week I received additional calls from the Fox Network for a news story which appeared on their affiliate news stations across the US, along with radio interviews.

Sales for that one week increased 500% and I became branded as the national expert in traffic enforcement.

This celebrity status now allowed me to cultivate relationships with news editors who often called me for my views on other newsworthy items.

As an example, a newspaper journalist from New Haven Connecticut called me one afternoon asking the legal requirements in certifying and calibrating police radar equipment. As I retired in law enforcement after a 20 year career and certified as a traffic radar instructor I explained to her that the International Chief of Police Association requires a police radar gun and tuning forks calibration and certification once a year.

The journalist investigative report published on the front page the following morning showing that the Connecticut State Police had not followed these requirements of certification/calibration tests in the last five years, referencing me and my website as an expert. Her investigative report forced the dismissal of over 1,000 speeding tickets in the courts. Another follow up was published labeling me and my website as the “whistle blower” and hundreds of orders from the New Haven area followed suit.

I’ve been published in numerous magazines that include; American Iron, Exotic Autos, Two Wheel Tuner.

I’ve appeared on numerous television news stations that include; CNN, FOX, IPN, and CBS

az-seo-training

Ok, what was my secret in developing my news releases, here goes:

1-  What is your company’s main point of difference from your competitors, what makes it stand out?

For me it was the retired cop who joined the “dark side” and reviewed speed counter measure equipment and gave free tips on how to beat your traffic ticket.

2 – Why are your products and/or services better than your competitor?

I really went to the edge on this, I created a website www.RadarJammer.com where I offer a $50.000.00 reward to ANYONE that can show me one of my competitors products that actually work as advertised. If you go to this website, click on the “What the Experts Say” tab to  see all my national television news interviews.

3 – What makes you stand out from the rest is your product/service unique? Exciting? Boring?

Even if you think you’re a boring CPA play this up to something like “I’m so boring that I put the IRS tax accounts to sleep, which result in the dismissal of my client’s reviews”

4 – Are you going to the edge? To be truly controversial people are either going to like you or hate you, there is no in between. Make a statement, but be ready to stand up for what you say, the media and public hates wimps!

Please be sure that you can back up whatever you say or do, if you’re ever caught in a lie or something hurtful it will haunt you forever, case in point. When I ran the Radarbusters network I would perform a test of all the radar detector products and invite manufactures and enthusiasts to the test. A competitor felt this would be a good time and place to sabotage my efforts.

They placed four police radar guns powered by remote batteries in the vicinity of my testing site as a method to invalidate my test.

However, the RadarTest . com competitor was so stupid that he placed these devices in a cardboard box that had shipping labels to his home.

These devices were found by the enthusiasts and manufactures while they were videotaping their hunt.

The following morning these videos went viral in the speed counter measurement community and his branding as the “National Expert” was thrown out.

5 – Is there a colorful character in your company? You don’t have to be a Radar Roy an Orville Redenbacher or a Lee Iacocca you just have to be a little offbeat, fun, engaging.

I have a client who sells tire pressure monitors from their website www.TirePressureMonitor.com. Dwayne in his 70’s and knows squat about the Internet. However his picture and his story have been branded and embraced in the tire safety community as being the expert. Because of his celebrity status in his niche he is often called upon for information.

6 – Are you or your business associated with any charities? Are you a member of a charity or school that helps in an unusual way? Do you get involved with your community?

I’m the founder of an organization called “Cops Who Care” an organization comprised of active and retired police officers that help at risk kids.

Family Circle Magazine recognized me as being one of “Ten Who Care” and featured a three page article about me and my organization in their December 1999 issue.

In 2000 the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce presented me with the volunteer of the Millennium for my charitable work in Wickenburg.

In 2002 the Arizona Republic labeled me their “Hero of the Week” for my charitable work in helping at risk kids.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I love to share cool tools that can help you with SEO work. Well, I’ve discovered a whole bunch more I know you are really gone to like. These tools are all FREE and I think you’re going to be amazed at these:

Cool Tool #1: Wordtracker KEI Observation Deck http://www.keiobservationdeck.com/

This great tool was created by John Alexander. If you haven’t heard about John, he’s the guy who wrote the eBook called “Wordtracker Magic”. What’s interesting about John has lots of strategies to bring a ton of traffic to your site without fighting the millions of pages you sometimes find competing for a keyword. You have to see this tool- you’ll have a whole new appreciation of what Wordtracker can do for you.

Cool Tool #2: FILExt – The File Extension Source http://filext.com/
If you’ve ever double clicked on a file and found that no program opens it and that the file extension is not recognized, FILExt is a comprehensive list of file extensions and programs that use them. You’ll never have a problem with unknown file extensions again with a list like this one.

Cool Tool #5: Search Engine Decoder – Relationship Chart
http://www.search-this.com/search_engine_decoder.asp
What this does is show you how search engines and directories are related. When you click on a search engine, you’ll see which of the search engine directories apply info back to the search engines. I was really impressed with this.

Cool Tool #6: Bookmarklets http://www.yourhtmlsource.com/accessibility/bookmarklets.html
This tool adds lots of useful features to your web browser to make your research and coding much quicker and much easier. Check this out for yourself!

Cool Tool #7: Martindale’s "The Reference Desk"
