Clear Your Calendar, Sugarman and West come to Phoenix!

I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa! Only I’m a grown man who can’t wait for January! Just wait until I tell you why.
You have role models. So do I. Starting off as an internet marketer in the late 1990’s I had two role models. They were Joe Sugarman and Jerry West.
You may know Joe Sugarman as the guy who sold millions of those BluBlocker sunglasses on TV. But, there’s so much more to the man whom I proudly call a “marketing genius.” The New York Times branded him the “Mail Order Maverick.” He was named ... Read More

Blogging, Pest Control, FTC & SEO

The following Post was written by one of our SEO Training SW students in regard to his take on the recent FTC rules and regulations in regard to blogging
Interesting read today from Fox news on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This is something that would effect SEO companies as they are prone to adding links and building blogs to get more traffic. The FTC has voted to regulate blogging and fine those that are posting product reviews for money. They believe that these reviews are misleading in that the consumer is unaware if the review is a organic unsolicited review ... Read More

Are You the Real Joe Sugarman?

My background in Internet Advertising actually started taking root way back in the seventies when I majored in television and film production with a minor in advertising at Grahm Junior College in Boston, Ma.
One of my most memorable classes was when a professor introduced us to the writing style of Joe Sugarman, who owned JS&A Group Inc, America’s largest source of Spaced-Age products such as the Pocket Yellow Pages, the Soviet Challenge chess game and the Nuclear Mailbox.
At that time Joe was the Direct Marketing Man of the Year and in 1991 was presented with the prestigious Maxwell ... Read More

Google Wave – Catch the Wave Now!

Over the past month I’ve been following Chris Lang who is one of Google’s Analysts and is one of the Beta testers for Google Wave on his website TheGwave.net website.
Chris and I first met at my Phoenix SEO and Internet Marketing MeetUp in July where he invited me to his first public demonstration of Google’s new social media platform last week here in Phoenix.
First off if you think that Google Wave is just some other social media tool such as Twitter, Facebook or whatever you are WRONG!
Google is an entirely new platform for communication and collaboration with your friends, family, ... Read More

Free SEO Event; Az SEO and Internet Marketing Meetup

One of the most critical and costly mistakes businesses make when creating their online presence is the development of their website.
As an example over the past several weeks I was brought in as a consultant by two separate companies whose goal was to increase their positioning in the organic search results (free search engine rankings) and to increase their Google AdWords quality scores to lower their pay-per-click advertising.
Both clients had new websites that were developed by outside web design companies that had no background and/or experience with search engine optimization and the cost of each of these clients’ sites was ... Read More

Advanced SEO Training Workshop

As teaching others to become successful online is a passion of mine I was very excited to open this week’s advanced Search Engine Optimization workshop to a sold out class.
Unlike other Internet Marketing classes that you may have attended or seen promoted, I keep my student to instructor ratio low as my training is very interactive, hands on and because each student has different levels of background and their own expectations.
Several examples;
One student who owns a family based service business in the Phoenix metro area and they didn’t have their own website or any experience in Internet Marketing at all. ... Read More

Are You Ready For Google Caffeine?

This week Google announced on their Google Webmasters Blog their next generation search engine dubbed “Google Caffeine”. In Google’s official announcement they wrote:
“For the last several months, a large team of Googlers has been working on a secret project: a next-generation architecture for Google’s web search. It’s the first step in a process that will let us push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions. The new infrastructure sits “under the hood” of Google’s search engine, which means that most users won’t notice a difference in search results. But web developers and power searchers might notice ... Read More
